GeForce RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6900 XT are two powerful proposals from Nvidia and AMD respectively featuring state of the art technology and awesome performance.
GeForce RTX 3080 is based on NVIDIA’s GPU GA102 and is built with Samsung’s 8 nm technology. It comes with 8704 CUDA cores, 272 Tensor cores and 68 RT cores. It has 10 GB of GDDR6X memory at 19 Gbps, which in combination with the 320-bit memory bus gives us bandwidth 760 GB/s. Its connection to the motherboard is via PCIe 4.0 x16 while for its operation, the user must have a power supply of at least 500 W.
This graphics card offers a new level in the field of “gaming” performance. At this point, Nvidia promises a 50% faster solution in 4K. We naturally find the latest hardware-supported developments for Ray Tracing and DLSS technology.
On the other hand, the Radeon RX 6900 XT promises trouble-free 4K Gaming, but also much lower power requirements than the competition. Infinity Cache returns while maintaining the same size of 128MB while it is there to maximize the bandwidth of GDDR6 memories of a total size of 16GB. With this promise, of the 512GB/s that are the theoretical bandwidth of GDDR6, the number extends to 1.66TB/s.
