Android Jelly Bean was released in 2012, at a time when Windows Phones were still on the market and were a smartphone alternative of the time. But now it’s 2021, and it’s probably time for users who have run out at that time to upgrade their phone.
As Google announced, the company will stop supporting its Play services on all Jelly Bean devices next month.
In August, Google will last update APK Play Services with version 21.30.99. The last time Jelly Bean devices will see an update and this concerns all Android versions 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.
Google estimates the percentage of Android users who continue to use Jelly Bean to be less than 1%, so this change will affect a very small number of users. Any user who wants to continue using the Jelly Bean device will be able to do so as it will work normally.
However, some apps may not run correctly, while others may not work at all. There is also a good chance that security issues will arise in the future as it will not receive updates.
