Honor is one of the companies that will host a press event at MWC 2022, where we’ll see the debut of the new flagship Magic series.
Honor’s CEO, George Zhao, via Facebook delivered a new teaser to their audience for the upcoming device, which once again confirms that it will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip-set. The accompanying message describes the device as “out of the templates,” but we don’t have more details.
The Honor Magic 4 (trial-temporary name) also appeared in an early comparison of Geekbench with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra that has just been released. The tipster @RODENT950 compared the ratings of the flagship Honor with the all-new Galaxy. The Honor phone clearly emerges the big winner in the single-core test with a score of 1,245 points compared to the 1,215 units of the S22 Ultra.
Honor’s device also emerged stronger in the multi-core test with the result reaching 3,901 units against the new Galaxy’s 3,303 units. The source confirmed that both devices are powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, so it will be interesting to see what improvements Honor made to its device.
