Huawei unveiled the Mate X2, the new foldable mobile where it is expected to be released for the time being only in the Chinese market. Huawei Mate X2 has a revamped design and according to the company the foldable smartphone opens in and out while the Chinese company said it significantly improved the hinge mechanism.
Its technical features are also impressive since its internal display offers a resolution of 2480×2200 pixels, while the smaller screen of 6.45 inches plays at 2700×1160 pixels. Both the external and internal display is OLED technology and they have a refresh rate at 90 Hertz so gaming will be particularly enjoyable. Rare materials have been selected for its construction such as carbon fiber housing making the folding device quite light.
Inside Huawei mate x2 is a state-of-the-art chipset, the kirin 9000 which is the next step from the 990 where it is installed in Mate Xs. Ram memory is at 8GB and has a battery of 4,400mAh, with the possibility for fast-charging at 55W. Of course Huawei has a very good history in the field of mobile photography and this continues in Mate X2 which has a powerful quad camera system.
So there’s a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12 Megapixel telephoto lens that has the capability for 3X optical zoom and also features an 8-megapixel superzoom camera that allows for the impressive 10X optical zoom. For selfie photos, a 16-megapixel camera is taken care of.
Huawei’s new foldable will be released on February 25 in four different colors and will be priced at nearly $2,800.
