MacBook Pro and iPad Pro with new OLED technology

According to the latest information, they say that Apple will unveil the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models with double-stack OLED displays that have two layers of light-emitting diodes and thus achieve twice the brightness. This seems to be in line with a previous rumor from September 2021.

The main problem is that the technology is expensive and the manufacturing process is not fully developed. Sources familiar with the matter say we will not see such screens until 2023 or 2024.

However, we know that the price of the panels will allow Apple to use them only on the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models and on MacBook Pro laptops.

Of course, these monitors will also adopt LTPO technology for TFT and allow for detailed control of the refresh rate – between 10Hz and 120Hz. In addition, we can expect micro-LED displays on future Apple devices, as the company is reportedly investing in their research and development.
