New iPhone SE 3 comes with A14 Bionic chip

More and more information is coming in for the new iPhone SE 3 while the possible release date is set in early 2022. The DigiTimes website follows in the footsteps of now reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said last month that the new SE will be equipped with an updated processor and 5G network support and will be released sometime in the first half of 2022.

Kuo says the iPhone SE, which has infiltrated the market for users looking for a smaller smartphone size, will be the cheapest iPhone 5G ever released, so Apple can strengthen its position in the increasingly competitive 5G market.

The new SE was originally released in March 2016 as a small entry-level iPhone to replace the iPhone 5S, which had been released three years earlier. Apple updated this smaller iPhone for the first time in April last year, incorporating a Bionic A13 processor from the iPhone 11 series, larger screen, new design and improved cameras. According to reports, the upcoming iPhone SE 3 will have fewer changes, with improvements limited mainly to the A14 Bionic processor and 5G networks.

The iPhone SE is the only iPhone in Apple’s current range that features a Touch ID and Home Button sensor, with the same design philosophy continuing with the new SE 3, as DigiTimes and Ming-Chi Kuo report. Apple is reportedly considering redesigning the iPhone SE by replacing the notch on the screen with a smaller punch-hole notch.
