Samsung continues to lead in smartphone sales
Samsung continues to lead in smartphone sales according to a new report for the month of August. Counterpoint Research’s report even shows us that the company is growing even further than Huawei, which has seen its sales fall significantly.
In detail, Samsung managed to get market share from sales in the month of August of 22%, while a year ago and same month it had 20%. Huawei, on the other hand, stayed at 16%, significantly lower than august’s 21% in 2019. Apple remained at a steady 12%, while Xiaomi also saw an increase of 11%, compared with 8% in 2019.

The amount of 40% of other manufacturers, such as Realme, Oppo and OnePlus, also remained stable. Counterpoint expects sales from Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi to rise as an alternative to Huawei. On the other hand, Huawei’s share is expected to fall even further, with its adventures following its exclusion from America.
